It’s easy to make a bed skirt using Velcro. This project requires just simple, straight sewing and is easy to install or remove.
.Measure the height from the top of your box spring to the floor. Then measure the length and width of your box spring.
.You’ll need enough self adhesive Velcro for the three sides of the bed that has the bed skirt. Cut the Velcro into three pieces. You’ll need one for the end and one for each side of the bed.
.Adhere the soft strip of Velcro across the top edge the box spring.
.Cut your fabric into strips that are two inches wider than the finished height of the bed skirt. Sew them together. You are making three strips that are twice the length of the box spring measurements.
.Sew a one inch hem on the top and bottom of the fabric. Sew a basting stitch along the top edge. Gather so the strip fits the length of the Velcro. Sew a reinforcing stitch to hold the gathering in place.
.Attach the loop strip of Velcro to the top of the gathered ruffle.
.Attach the bed skirt to the box spring with the Velcro strips, and your bed has a whole new look.
